Wedding in Iceland, Reykjavik
The wedding was held at a music town hall in center of Reykjavík, Iceland with a separate intimate ceremony for family at Davíð’s family home.
It was such a privilege to be allowed to photograph of the very small ceremony. The ceremony was held in the grooms family home with only just the family and few friends. The couple played and sang a song together that just made every single person there shed a tear.
It was wonderful to see the love they have for each other as they clearly have a strong trusting bond.
After the ceremony we drove around Reykjavík and took pictures in the little garden called hljómskálagarðurinn. The happy couple were just wonderful to photograph. They were wearing the most beautiful wedding outfit. The groom in a nice blue suit in brooks shoes and the bride in a unique white dress with a gorgeous bouquet.
They where a wonderful couple to photograph, they were so happy on their big day and it really shown through the photographs. After we traveled around Reykjavík taking images we went to the party. The party was held in a music school in Reykjavík. Their family had help decorating the venue and it looked quirky and cute. The food was absolutely amazing and the wedding guests were eager to be photographed. They even left little video messages for the lucky couple. The husband and wife are keen musicians so the played through the night for the guests which danced all night long. Afterwards there was a silent disco were the guests could pick their own music to boogie with. I even put down my camera and danced to one of the songs with the guests. After so many requests sometimes you just need to shake it a little !
It was absolutely a wonderful day and so much fun to be a part of, I felt really lucky to have been a part of their intimate ceremony and I know they will have the best of luck in the future.
