Engagement Shoot in Iceland
Iceland is famous for its mountains, geysers and dramatic look and if you look for Icelandic wedding photography that’s usually all you see online! However sometimes what you need are just some awesome bright colors and the cutest couple to make it all go pow! Anna og Andri will be getting married in Iceland this summer and I was lucky enough to meet up with them over Christmas for an engagement shoot in Iceland. We were really lucky with the day and met up in Nauthólsvík which is in the centre of Reykjavík. It is a place where people often go swimming in the sea and then spend some time on the only man made beach in Iceland. For some magic reason the weather wasn’t too bad and we got away with being outside for an hour! That is pretty impressive over Christmas. It was totally worth it and we managed to get some wonderfully colorful images with the favourite of the bunch having to be the one with the black background! You would think these guys were professionals!
Anna og Andri are just the nicest people, they both volunteer in the Björgunarsveit were they go and help people in danger or when there is a natural disaster in the country. They are working hard on building their home and of course decided to plan their wedding at the same time – because why not! Their wedding will be in the country side with the ceremony in the cutest church and the reception in a lovely town hall with camping ground next door! I cannot wait to photograph in the twilight and sneak into camp in the evening as I am sure there will be a hell of a party!
I had a lovely time with Anna og Andri shooting their engagement shoot in Iceland and I cannot wait for their amazing wedding!
