Engagement Shoot in Iceland
Iceland is famous for its mountains, geysers and dramatic look and if you look for Icelandic wedding photography that’s usually all you see online! However sometimes what you need are just some awesome bright colors and the cutest couple to make it all go pow! Anna og Andri will be getting married in Iceland this summer and I was lucky enough to meet up with them over Christmas for an engagement shoot in Iceland. We were really lucky with the day and met up in Nauthólsvík which is in the centre of Reykjavík. It is a place where people often go swimming in the sea and then spend some time on the only man made beach in Iceland. For some magic reason the weather wasn’t too bad and we got away with being outside for an hour! That is pretty impressive over Christmas. It was totally worth it and we managed to get some wonderfully colorful images with the favourite of the bunch having to be the one with the black background! You would think these guys were professionals!
Beautiful engagement shoot in Lickey Hills
I had the best of time with Fran & Tim for their engagement shoot in Lickey Hills, Birmingham. Lickey hills is one of my favourite country parks to go to in Birmingham. I spend a lot of time hiking, cycling and photographing there.
Tim and Fran also love going walking and spending time in the beautiful landscape, especially since they live around the corner! Tim and Fran will be having the most amazing wedding at the best day of the year – Halloween! I cannot describe how excited I was when they decided to have me as their wedding photographer. I am looking forward to the party as I am expecting to be pretty amazing! (more…)
Wedding photographer in Iceland –
Wow what an incredible day in the country side
Wedding season full blown. Wow where to start! I have to say this was such a lovely week. The wedding of Björk and Bragi ( yes Björk as in the famous singer) it was just so much fun! They have both known each other for a while now and have created just the mist gorgeous family. Two little girls and one fur-baby – doesn’t get any better than that!
I traveled to Iceland for the weekend to photograph their wedding and have to say it was great being able to be there having all the lovely Icelandic homemade food. Björk og Bragi decided to get married on Bragi’s family farm. Of course they had completely redecorated a barn for their big day, nothing less – and it looked amazing.
Wedding in London – Jon & Emily
Wow what a day!
I met Jon and Emily in as they were having their wedding in London and quickly got to know what a wonderful couple they were. We share a great interest in cats, diy planting and wine. Emily and John are just one of those really kind, smart driven people that seem to be able to support each other in all their passions. Just as them about all the half marathons they have ran!
On their big day Emily got ready in their apartment with her friends and family and it was lovely to see them all together. Cups of tea, laugther and story telling while everone was getting ready. Jon and Emily choose to get married at the registry office and it was such a wonderful ceremony. It was relaxed, fun and intimite and felt like a great fit for them as a couple. After a quick photo session outside in the wonderful weather and a fitting selfie off they went to the party of the century!
Super lovely cat lovers getting married !
Yes that’s my headline: Cat lovers getting married.
Emily & John and I have one thing in common other then love for great wine and that is cats! Unfortunately I must confess about being not just a wedding photographer but also a crazy cat lady – it is usually something I only mention on third client date ( or not at all ) Having three cats can be a bit embarrassing sometimes.
Anyway – I had such a great time with Jon and Emily walking around Brent Reservoir. The weather was just lovely with the sun was out and not a cloud in sight. It was really nice photographing in the woodlands where the light filtered through the trees.
The reservoir is a beautiful place and we found some nice spots overlooking the water. The swans curiously came to check us out hoping for some bread. (more…)
